This beaded bloodroot purse is one of our absolute favorite pieces of beadwork we’ve completed. Its an accurately drawn image of a full bloodroot plant mid bloom. This piece is beaded with vintage beads that date back to the late 1800s, as well as many different seed beads, 2 cuts, and true cuts. The fabric is a dark navy natural silk velvet, and it is lined in a vibrant yellow satin. This purse is framed by satin ribbon tassels and is on a chain that fits perfectly over a belt or regalia belt. While completely finished inside and out, it was designed for form over function. The clasp does open, but it does not have much room for storage.
